One tremendous gap we have seen in mental healthcare has been that for families and individuals who work and may or may not have insurance, either the cost of counseling and therapy services are out of reach or are difficult to justify on tight budgets.
Affordable Mental Healthcare Programs is dedicated to providing people in Virginia with affordable counseling, group counseling, educational, and other mental health programs at affordable sliding scales. We do not take insurance, but we are committed to making our services cost LESS than your insurance co-pays. We don't think your mental health should be an either or choice. If you need support and services, we will find a way to make it work.
If you do not have any income, we recommend you seek help from your local CSB, Community Services Board, which has many programs directly designed for people without any income. We are focused on people who are working, in the military, or who have insurance, but their services are not adequate or affordable. We may make exceptions in certain cases, but overall, we are dedicated to helping those who are not eligible for other services like the CSB.
